Practice Focus
Weiling has advised corporate sponsors, financial institutions, private equity firms and business trusts on cross-border and domestic finance transactions, which include general banking work, structured lending, leveraged and acquisition finance, trade finance and fund finance.
Representative Legal Matters
- Represented the arrangers, the lead sustainability coordinator and the lenders on the up to USD 1.5 billion syndicated sustainability linked loan facility to a Singapore logistics company.
- Advised a large group of arrangers and lenders in the general corporate financing to one of the largest market players in Thailand's communications sector. This is a large US Dollars and Thai Baht facility featuring seven arrangers.
- Advised a Singapore private credit fund in a USD 45 million secured term loan facility granted to a Singapore borrower controlled by a regional private equity sponsor, for the acquisition of shares in a PRC electronics company who is a leading provider of battery charging infrastructure used in electric vehicles and solar and wind power.
- Advised a multinational financial institution in connection with the provision of loan facilities to a Mauritius incorporated borrower controlled ultimately by a sponsor who controls a multinational for-profit private hospital network, for the purposes of an acquisition of the shares of a listed Indian company.
- Advised various arrangers of facilities of up to JPY 109.9 billion to True Corporation which is the largest JPY loan as well as the foremost sustainability-linked loan ever achieved by a Thai corporation to date.
- Advised on the USD 700 million financing of the proposed management buyout and take private of Razer Inc. (the world leader in high-performance gaming hardware, software and systems).
