
Benoit Landreau
Biography
Benoit Landreau is a senior associate in the Litigation & Arbitration Group of Baker McKenzie in Paris. Benoit primarily advises clients with respect to domestic or cross-border disputes, with a particular focus on commercial litigation and bankruptcy law.
His experience covers both amicable restructuring proceedings (ad hoc mandate and conciliation), and insolvency proceedings before the French courts (safeguard procedure, judicial reorganization, and liquidation).
Benoit's practice also covers civil law, distribution and commercial law and more specifically legal issues related to contractual terminations, as well as M&A litigation and private international law matters. He handles pre-litigation procedures such as pre-trial motion for production of evidence, ex parte application, injunctive reliefs, and enforcement measures.

Benoit has practical experience advising leading industry players in a broad range of business industries, and notably the banking, automotive, retail, and the tech sectors.

Advised a company that operates a world-class industrial site during extensive discussions and negotiations with relevant government and other key stakeholders, including the CIRI (Comité interministériel de restructuration industrielle).

Represented Univar Solutions in the context of a follow-on action initiated by a competitor further to a decision from the French Competition Authority.

Advised a foreign bank in the context of the bankruptcy proceedings of a borrower.

Represented a foreign authority in the exequatur proceedings in France of a judicial decision resulting from foreign administrative proceedings (the decision was enforced on the basis of a provisional lien on a property located in France and at the same time fraud proceedings were initiated against the debtor).
