Papon has over 10 years of experience working on the sale and purchase of hotels, resorts, condominiums, housing projects, factories, power plants, and industrial projects. He also has extensive experience in various type of commercial and industrial leases and provides legal advice on real estate matters, including land ownership, developments of hotels and real estate projects, statutory requirements for building construction and business operations, government expropriation, and environmental protection issues.

• Represented an asset management company on its acquisition of a 20% stake in a developer and operator of integrated data centres providing IT services, cloud-based solutions, and data centre services in Hong Kong, China, Japan, and Thailand.
• Assisted a hospitality company headquartered in Bangkok in the acquisition of a French brand of economy hotels in Hua Hin, Phuket, and Krabi from a leading hotel investor, developer, and operator in Thailand.
• Represented a real estate developer listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand with the sale of their housing project in Bang Khen District of Bangkok, including unsold residential units, land subdivision license, infrastructure, and utilities, to another Thai developer.
• Assisted a Bangkok-based real estate developer and asset management company in the sale of four-star hotel in the Sukhumvit area to a Singaporean investor. 
• Assisted a foreign fund's investment in five hotel and retail projects in Bangkok, Phuket, and Samui Island by acquiring 40% shares in the holding companies from one of the largest hospitality, restaurant, and lifestyle companies in the Asia Pacific Region.
• Assisted a hospitality company and their Singaporean joint-venture partner in selling a hotel with 138 rooms in Bangkok's a prime real estate zone, to a land and property development company.
• Assisted a special-purpose acquisition company (SPAC) with their investment in a property listing platform and provider of real estate services based in Southeast Asia. Our role included organizing due diligence on the target's operations in Thailand and providing advice in relation to Thai laws.
• Assisted a real estate developer listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, in its USD 310 million acquisition of six hotels in Asia Pacific from a luxury hotel chain and management company
• Represented a multinational energy conglomerate on the acquisition of majority shares in the operator of a power plant with 123-megawatt capacity in Thailand, and on the joint venture arrangement with the remaining shareholders.
• Represented an automotive parts manufacturer listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, on its USD 100 million investment in the automotive part manufacturing business in India, Portugal, the United States, and China. The deal earned Asia Business Law Journal's 2017 "Deal of the Year Award."
• Acted for a real estate developer in a joint venture arrangement with a Thai conglomerate on a special pro-longed lease of 50 years, for plots of land in Bangkok's central business district of Silom, for the development of a 9,600-square meter office and commercial building.
• Represented a Singaporean hotel group on a USD 78 million acquisition of land and a 34-storey existing structure at the corner of Sukhumvit 27 Road.
