
Sumaiya Ismail
Biography
Sumaiya Ismail is an associate in Baker McKenzie's North America Antitrust & Competition Practice Group, based in the firm's Washington, DC office.
Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Sumaiya was a trial attorney at the US Department of Justice Antitrust Division where she worked on a variety of complex criminal antitrust cases. She joined the DOJ through the Attorney General's Honors Program.
Practice Focus
Sumaiya represents clients in complex commercial litigation in both state and federal courts, as well as in government and regulatory investigations, risk management and pre-dispute strategies.
Sumaiya also regularly advises clients on a full range of antitrust issues before the Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, US courts, and foreign competition authorities, including matters involving litigation, investigations, and transactions.
