Lucy Hart
Biography
Lucy Hart is a counsel in our IP, Data and Technology team in London. Her practice spans commercial, digital, consumer, privacy, AI and accessibility. She regularly supports global businesses on technology-enabled product launches, online customer experience, practical implementation of complex UK/EU and wider legal frameworks, and regulatory compliance and investigations. She specialises in the digital services and retail sectors.
Drawing on her in-house experience, Lucy is known for providing pragmatic, business-oriented advice that helps clients support innovation while managing legal, regulatory and contractual risk. Lucy is also a recent graduate of the Firm's flagship AI Accelerator program, an intensive, in-person program for high-performing lawyers, focused on using AI effectively to deliver legal solutions in the most effective and innovative ways.

Practice Focus
Lucy advises on regulatory issues, including data privacy, consumer protection and marketing, as well as general contractual aspects of commercial and consumer agreements. She has been involved in drafting domestic and international IT and commercial agreements.
Lucy has a particular interest in combining her previous background in payment services with her current practice. She is heavily involved in the work done by the IT/Commercial department for our financial services clients.
Representative Legal Matters
- Advising a variety of clients on the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) including conducting compliance audits and advising on the implementation steps required from a legal and practical perspective.
- Completed a secondment to a major manufacturing client to support its EEA-wide GDPR programme, including through developing GDPR-ready policies and advising on a variety of legal issues.
