Krzysztof Flis
Biography
Krzysztof Flis is counsel in Baker McKenzie’s Warsaw office, focusing on customs and export controls matters as well as the tax and legal aspects of international trade.
Krzysztof advises clients on tax and customs disputes, regulatory proceedings and the implementation of complex tax and customs solutions. He regularly works with businesses in the FMCG, automotive, fuels and energy, retail, heavy industry and trade sectors. Prior to joining Baker McKenzie in 2011, he worked at both a Big Four audit firm and a tax advisory firm in Poland.
Practice Focus
Krzysztof represents clients in tax, customs and court proceedings involving VAT, excise duty and customs matters. He advises Polish and international companies on the tax and customs implications of business operations, cross-border trade and export controls matter. His experience includes managing projects involving new business models, tax audits and tax due diligence. Krzysztof also assists companies with customs and excise registrations, as well as permit, authorization and customs simplification proceedings.
