Biography

Kimberly Everitt is the Senior Knowledge Lawyer for Baker McKenzie's Financial Services Regulatory practice across the EMEA region. She brings nearly two decades of experience to the team in both knowledge and fee-earning roles. Kim is responsible for the knowledge needs of the team and their clients, and provides in-depth training, current awareness updates and trend scanning alerts alongside practical, client-focused thought leadership and assistance with complex, technical legal queries. Prior to joining the Firm, Kim practiced law at several international law firms, holding knowledge roles specializing in contentious financial services regulation, and associate roles covering non-contentious regulation across a broad range of financial services sectors.

Practice Focus

Kim's practice spans both contentious and non-contentious regulatory matters, and she has experience in a wide range of financial services legal and regulatory issues. Kim has particular expertise in matters relating to the regulation of fintech and cryptoassets, payment services, and investments and funds, as well as sustainable finance developments, anti-money laundering regulation, investigations and enforcement, and individual accountability regimes. Kim is particularly interested in regulatory change and reform, including the changing perimeter of both UK and EU financial services regulation.
