Charles Dieux
Biography
Charles Dieux is an associate in the Dispute Resolution and Arbitration Practice Group in the Brussels office. He worked as a trainee in 2022 and joined the Firm as an associate in 2024.
Practice Focus
Charles primarily advises and assists national and international clients in their contentious matters before judicial courts and arbitral tribunals as well as in regulatory and compliance issues and, in various legal aspects of business and commercial law. Charles regularly assists clients in contract negotiations, particularly in the context of complex commercial agreements.
Representative Legal Matters
- Assisting a leading international manufacturer of Oil and Gas equipment for the sale of turbines in excess of EUR 1 billion.
- Assisting and representing a worldwide leading IT company in a major international construction arbitration, involving one main CEPANI arbitration, over 35 arbitration, pre-arbitration or litigation proceedings against subcontractors and several summary proceedings before Belgian courts.
- Representing a global leading insurance company and 15 international co- and re-insurers in a complex international litigation before Belgian courts.
- Assisted a leading telecom company in annulment proceedings before the Council of State in relation to the award of a public procurement contract for telecom services in the Walloon Region.
- Representing a group of professional investors with investment portfolios in excess of EUR 100 million against a leading insurance company.
