Biography

Alyssa is an associate in Baker McKenzie’s San Francisco office focusing on corporate and securities law.

Alyssa represents public and private companies in connection with a wide range of transactional matters, including merger and acquisitions, cross-border reorganizations and minority investments. In addition, Alyssa advises clients on corporate governance, global expansions and general corporate law matters.

Prior to joining the Firm, Alyssa spent five years working for the federal government, where she helped assess corporate compliance with US law. In law school, she was an articles editor for the Georgetown Journal of International Law and the Georgetown Law Technology Review. Alyssa began her career with the Peace Corps in Senegal.

  • Advised Seiko Epson Corporation on its USD 591 million (JPY 83.1 billion) acquisition of Fiery, LLC, an industry-leading provider of printing-related software.
  • Advised Daiwa House Industry Co., Ltd. ("Daiwa House") via Daiwa House USA Holdings Inc. — Daiwa House's US subsidiary — on a minority investment in Alliance Residential Company, one of the largest and most active rental residential real estate developers in the US.
  • Advised Abbott Laboratories on its USD 890 million acquisition of medical device company Cardiovascular Systems, Inc.
  • Advised Cadence Design Systems, Inc. on its acquisition of Intrinsix Corp., a Massachusetts-based semiconductor design services firm, in a transaction valued at approximately USD 35 million.
  • Advised Enovix Corporation (ENVX), an advanced silicon battery company, in its acquisition of privately-held Routejade, an established Korean battery manufacturer.
  • Advised Planet Labs PBC in its strategic acquisition of Slovenia-based Holding Sinergise d.o.o., a leading developer platform for earth observation data.
  • Advised publicly-listed semiconductor and cybersecurity companies on multiple post-acquisition integration projects.
  • Advised companies on a variety of legal entity rationalization projects.
