Helen Davenport
Biography
Helen Davenport is the Firm's Global AI Risk Counsel. She joined Baker McKenzie in 2024 as Lead Knowledge Lawyer for the Global Technology Sector and is now responsible for AI risk and governance initiatives across the Firm.
Practice Focus
Helen's practice background includes privacy and cybersecurity, including incident response and disputes, and technology litigation. Her technology litigation experience includes handling disputes arising from contracts for IT services and systems and software licensing matters, in a range of sectors, as well as cases relating to data centres and in the telecoms industry. She’s also handled claims around trade secrets/confidential information, advised on matters involving advanced technologies, including AI, crypto assets, and blockchain, and given professional witness testimony on English law for proceedings conducted in the US. Helen’s experience also includes internal investigations, e.g. relating to alleged bribery and corruption, fraud litigation, and anti-bribery compliance.
