Biography

Rachele is an associate in Baker McKenzie's Commercial, Data and Technology team, based in London. Her practice encompasses aspects of digital regulatory, data protection and commercial IT law. 

Rachele joined Baker McKenzie as a trainee in September 2020 and was admitted as a Solicitor of England and Wales in September 2022. During her training Rachele also spent 5 months seconded to the Zurich office.
 

Practice Focus

Rachele focuses on new technologies and advises on platform regulation, data protection and consumer law. She frequently acts for clients in the new media sector, including platforms, on data governance, intellectual property law and regulatory issues.

Rachele provides support with the commercial and technology aspects of large corporate transactions. She has also advised on complex telecoms transactions and outsourcing arrangements. She is also regularly involved in drafting and negotiating a range of commercial agreements for clients in the technology, financial services, consumer goods and life sciences sectors. 
 

Representative Legal Matters

  • Providing complex advice to a number of new media, social and online platform clients, relating to online regulation, including the EU DSA and UK OSA.
  • Advising multiple platforms in relation to investigations by, or requests for information from, the European Commission under the DSA.
  • Acting for clients in the technology and travel sectors in relation to consumer investigations by, or requests for information from, the EU Consumer Protection Cooperation Network.
  • Advising a travel technology platform on an ongoing basis on various aspects of its business, including marketing, advertising, data protection, intellectual property and consumer law issues.
  • Advising on a number of GDPR compliance projects for multinational companies.
  • Providing regular strategic regulatory and commercial law advice to a major global technology company, including in relation to the EU Data Act.
  • Advising on contract separation strategy and drafting complex agreements in relation to corporate restructurings and carve-outs.  
  • Advising on and drafting Iberostar's first of its kind commercial agreement for its strategic alliance with IHG.
  • Advising services providers, including in the financial services sector, on DORA compliance.
