Biography

Praniet is a mid-level associate in Baker McKenzie's Litigation & Government Enforcement Practice Group. Her fierce advocacy, practical approach to problem solving, and commitment to open communication with her clients make her a trusted advocate for businesses navigating legal challenges. Praniet also frequently assists the Firm's pro bono team on a wide range of matters, including advising clients on international and domestic sanctions legislation and informing homeless youth on navigating the legal system.

Praniet is involved in various community groups, including the South Asian Bar Association. When she is not working, Praniet enjoys camping, attending concerts, and learning the ukulele. Praniet is fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi.

Practice Focus

Praniet has a broad commercial litigation practice. She acts for clients on commercial arbitrations, contract and misrepresentation claims, shareholder disputes, and insolvency and restructuring matters. She is an experienced litigator, having appeared before various levels of court in Ontario, including the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Divisional Court.
