Roberta Chan is a special counsel in Baker McKenzie's Hong Kong office.
Ms. Chan’s practice focuses on all aspects of commercial and corporate litigation including company and shareholder disputes, contract and tort claims. She also has extensive experience in insurance and employment matters, including policy interpretation and defense of claims involving contractors’ risks, public liability, employees’ compensation, professional indemnity and other specialist insurance policies.

Advising a Hong Kong-listed company in its main action for rescission of contract, based on fraud and misrepresentation in respect of its acquisition of a British Virgin Islands company which indirectly holds substantive projects in Vietnam.
Advising a Hong Kong-listed company in its main action against a joint venture partner for breach of fiduciary duties and conspiracy to defraud.
Advising and defending a Hong Kong-listed company and its directors in various actions for fraud and misrepresentation, in respect of its acquisition of a BVI company which indirectly holds mines in Russia.
Advising minority shareholders of a Hong Kong-listed company in the derivative action against the majority shareholders/management in control of the said company, for breach of fiduciary duties and conspiracy to defraud.
Acting for majority shareholders in their family dispute with minority shareholders in a winding-up petition pursuant to Sections 168-A and 177 of the Companies Ordinance.
Acting for the property developer in defending claims for breach of sale and purchase agreements, breach of the deed of mutual covenants, and nuisance on the development.
Acting for the property conglomerate on employees’ compensation and personal injury matters.
Acting for insured hospitals in defending medical negligence claim.
Advising insurers on risk management in personal injury, employees' compensation claims, and other insurance related matters.
