Kiran Chahal

Kiran has a particular focus on the consumer goods and retail sector but also regularly advises on commercial landlord and tenant issues, real estate financing, and the real estate aspects of multi-national corporate transactions, particularly in the healthcare sector.

Kiran is a member of the Firm’s India Focus Group.

• Acting for a leading fashion house in relation to its store expansion programme across Europe, involving coordinating around 25 European offices and external law firms. 
• Acting for various retail clients on lettings of units within retail parks and shopping centres including Westfield, London.
• Drafting and negotiating bespoke lease documentation for retail clients both during and in the aftermath of the global Covid pandemic. 
• Leading the real estate aspects of a multi-jurisdictional business demerger on behalf of a global pharmaceutical company, which, was reported as being the biggest listing in Europe for more than a decade. 
• Advising on the corporate real estate aspects for a multinational pharmaceutical company on its GBP 50 million acquisition of a UK based healthcare company.
• Advising a syndicate of banks, led by Lloyds Bank Plc on a GBP 300 million refinancing of a prospective borrower's property portfolio.
• Acting for a Malaysian government pension fund on its GBP 160 million refinance of a multi-let new build property at St Katharine's Dock, EC1.
