Rachael Cederwall
Biography
Rachael is a senior associate in Baker McKenzie London's Dispute Resolution practice and is a member of the market-leading Private Wealth & Trust Disputes group.
Rachael regularly provides strategic advice and representation to high-net-worth individuals, trustees, executors and multinational institutions in complex, multijurisdictional private wealth disputes. Her experience spans leading global financial centres, including England, New Zealand, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, BVI, Jersey, Guernsey, Singapore, the US, Taiwan, Hong Kong, ADGM, DIFC and the Bahamas.
Rachael recently completed a one year secondment within the legal team of a leading global financial institution. In that role, she advised on sophisticated trust, governance and risk issues, providing practical, high value strategic guidance across the institution’s fiduciary and wealth management offerings.
Prior to joining the Firm in January 2020, Rachael worked at a specialist dispute resolution firm in London and, before that, at a leading New Zealand firm.

Rachael acts on the full spectrum of matters affecting private clients and their structures, including:
- Breach of trust claims
- Information requests and disclosure applications
- Applications to rectify or revoke mistaken advice or flawed decisions
- Disputes between family members regarding their interests in family trusts and the operation of underlying corporate entities
- Trustee directions and court approval/blessing applications
- Advice about and disputes involving loss of capacity by family members or fiduciaries
- Challenges to wills and inheritance claims
- Disputes relating to valuable assets such as art and private jets
