He joined Baker McKenzie in 2012 and, after more than a decade in the Firm, has built a solid international profile shaped by his secondments to the San Francisco and Palo Alto offices in 2018 and 2019. These experiences provided him with a deep understanding of the tax challenges faced by technology companies, platform businesses and innovative digital ecosystems, reinforcing his ability to connect technical tax analysis with the commercial realities of fast evolving industries.

He became a partner in 2022 and is widely recognized for his clarity, responsiveness and strategic approach to international tax matters. Practice Focus

Javier advises domestic and multinational clients on international tax planning, cross border reorganizations and the tax structuring of global operations. His practice covers the design of tax efficient international models, treaty based planning, permanent establishment assessments, withholding tax analysis and the tax implications of digital and IP driven revenue flows.
