Magdalena Bętkowska
Biography
Magdalena Bętkowska is an advocate admitted to practice in Poland, a senior associate in the Banking and Finance Practice at Baker McKenzie in Warsaw.
Magdalena graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan in 2018. In addition, she completed a post-graduate studies in Mergers & Acquisitions at the Warsaw School of Economics in 2019. She qualified as an advocate in 2022.
In 2024, Magdalena completed a seven-month associate training program at Baker McKenzie’s Brussels office, and since then, she has continued to maintain a close cooperation with the Firm’s Belgian offices.
Prior to joining Baker McKenzie in May 2022, Magdalena worked at renowned Polish and international law firms in Warsaw and Poznan starting from 2014.

- Advised one of the largest investment bank in the world in connection with bridge loan for disposal for one of the largest postal operators in Belgium.
- Advised the consortium of Belgian and Dutch banks in connection with acquisition financing for the Belgian company being a leader in the manufacturing and processing of foodservice and retail Burger products.
- Advised the consortium of Belgian banks in connection with the corporate financing for the Belgian company producing injection moulded reusable packaging with subsidiaries in different European countries.
- Advised Zabka Polska in connection with EUR 75 million ESG-linked loan made available by EBRD to support Zabka Group's transformational investment program.
- Advised Zabka Polska in connection with an ESG-linked ECA buyer credit facility made available by Banco Santander to finance the development of a logistics center and IT systems in its new logistics center near Warsaw.
- Advised Jyske Bank A/S on the project finance of the development of a wind-farm portfolio located in Poland by Eurowind Energy JV.
- Advised pan-European real estate investment advisor in connection with the implementation of ESG-related obligations.
