Biography

Susannah is an associate in the Baker McKenzie Dispute Resolution team based in London. She trained at Baker McKenzie and qualified into the Firm’s Dispute Resolution Practice Group in 2025. She is also a member of the Firm’s Global Investigation, Compliance & Ethics Practice Group.

Susannah was seconded to a client in the automotive industry where she worked on a range of matters, including commercial, employment, data protection, intellectual property, ESG and contract work.

Practice Focus

Susannah’s practice includes both criminal and commercial litigation, arbitration and investigations. She also advises on public procurement, anti-bribery and corruption, and compliance and ethics. Susannah has experience across a range of disputes, including high-value fraud disputes, collective employment litigation, tort litigation, data privacy litigation, and investor state and commercial arbitration.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Acting for two entities wholly owned by the State of Kuwait in connection with high value fraud claims brought against individuals and entities connected with a fund investment in the Cayman Islands, valued around USD 200 million.
  • Acting for a client in the vehicle rental industry in English civil litigation regarding a database right and copyright infringement, including advising on discovery and on alternative dispute resolution.
  • Supporting in an investigation into possible corporate governance breaches and bribery carried out in a branch office in Turkey.
  • Coordinating a multijurisdictional survey for a global energy company on corporate compliance and defending the client in related corporate crime proceedings in England.
  • Supporting in advising senior executives providing evidence in the UK’s Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry.
  • Defending a global bank in connection with a claim for negligent misstatement and breach of duty.
  • Acting for a client in the commodity industry in an ICC arbitration with complex breach of contract and repudiation issues.

Corporate Responsibility

Susannah has worked with a number of NGOs, charities and international bodies on pro bono matters. Susannah worked with Voices for Families to secure suitable accessible counsel accommodation for a family and their disabled child who were facing homelessness. She also led a project with Speakers for Schools to provide after-school sessions for students from state schools who are interested in a career in law.

Susannah has worked on matters for Save the Children and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
