Biography
Arthur Apos is a partner in the Transactional Practice Group.
Practice Focus
Arthur's practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, company law and governance and joint ventures. He acts for many large Australian and global businesses and has particular experience in the industrial, manufacturing and agricultural sectors.
Arthur completed a one-year part-time secondment with Goodyear as their acting general counsel. As a member of the senior management team, Arthur gained firsthand insights into the broad range of issues which confront businesses and the importance of tailoring timely, cost effective and pragmatic legal solutions.
Representative Legal Matters
- Advised the vendors on the sale of Express Travel Group to HelloWorld.
- Advised the 50% owner of Zeder Corporation (automotive polyurethane bushings manufacturer) on the sale of its interest to the other 50% owner.
- Advised Motherson on its acquisition of the Lumen Group, a global designer, manufacturer and supplier of OEM-certified automotive parts, accessories and dealer-fit products.
- Advised LeasePlan on the sale of its Australian and New Zealand fleet leasing and fleet management business to SG Fleet Group.
- Advised Booking Holdings Inc. on its acquisition of Hotels Combined Pty Ltd (accommodation metasearch engine) and Bookarestaurant (now OpenTable).
- Advised Australian Pharmaceutical Industries Limited on its acquisition of Clearskincare Clinics.
- Advised Citywide on the sale of a 50% interest in its asphalt business to Fulton Hogan and the formation of an asphalt joint venture with Fulton Hogan.
