Biography

Amir is an English-qualified lawyer with 14 years’ post-qualification experience in the London real estate market and now based in the Middle East region, bringing deep experience in development, investment, complex asset management, real estate finance, corporate real estate matters and hotel management agreements. Amir has assisted numerous clients with development projects across the Middle East.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advised on a AED 2.3 billion acquisition of a flagship commercial tower in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). The transaction will formally close in 2028 following completion of extensive development works with 40 floors of commercial and retail space. The transaction is one of the largest commercial tower acquisitions registered in the DIFC.
  • Advised Aldar on a joint venture with Mubadala on the proposed development of island plots in Abu Dhabi comprising a prime mixed use waterfront development consisting of luxury waterfront villas off Saadiyat Marina and Reem Island.
  • Advised Izdihar Real Estate Fund on its acquisition of the real estate of GEMS School of Research and Innovation in Dubai which is currently being constructed and developed in Sports City, Dubai, UAE.
  • Advised a major Egyptian real estate development company in relation to a mixed use site in Abu Dhabi (proposed uses includes office, retail and hotel/hospitality components).
  • Advised JINGDONG Property (significant Chinese logistics company) in relation to the acquisition of two major logistic hubs in the Jebel Ali Freezone, Dubai, UAE.
  • Advised Dubai based investment company in the acquisition of the Bonnington VOCO hotel in Jumeriah Lake Towers, Dubai, UAE.
  • Advised numerous blue chip companies on corporate occupier leasing work in Dubai, Abu Dhabi UAE and Riyadh Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
