Global law firm Baker McKenzie has received the National Legal Aid & Defender Association's (NLADA) 2026 Beacon of Justice Award, marking the sixth consecutive year the Firm has been honored for its outstanding pro bono commitment and service.
This year’s Beacon of Justice Award recognizes firms that demonstrated a commitment to protecting democracy and civil society through their pro bono efforts in 2025.
Led by Angela Vigil, Executive Director of Global Pro Bono, and Jaclyn Pampel, Director of North America Pro Bono, Baker McKenzie's global pro bono program advances access to justice and supports vulnerable communities around the world. In 2025, the Firm was involved in the Fifth World Congress on Justice With Children, helped draft the Global Declaration on Advancing Child-Centered Justice, and continued advancing initiatives such as Real Rights. Through these efforts and partnerships with clients and public interest organizations worldwide, the Firm helps strengthen civil society and protect fundamental rights.

NLADA will honor Baker McKenzie and other recipients at the Exemplar Awards Gala on September 24 in Washington, DC.
