Baker McKenzie partners Maria Eberle and Aarthi Belani have been named to Forbes’ inaugural list of America’s Top Women Lawyers, which recognizes leading women practitioners across the United States for their professional excellence and impact.

The list is based on a rigorous, multi-step evaluation of thousands of nominees, assessing factors such as notable work, leadership, client service and recognition within the broader legal industry.

Maria Eberle, Americas Chair of Baker McKenzie’s Tax Practice Group and a partner in the Firm’s New York office, serves as strategic counsel and lead relationship partner to multinational organizations on complex cross border transactions as well as high stakes tax strategy, controversy, and litigation matters, with leadership of multi jurisdictional teams across a broad range of practice areas.

Aarthi Belani, a partner in Baker McKenzie’s Palo Alto office, advises clients on complex, cross-border M&A and joint venture transactions across the technology and life sciences sectors. She represents buyers and sellers, venture capital investors, joint venturers and emerging growth companies on strategic transactions spanning industries such as software, semiconductors, platform tech, research institutes, accelerators, biopharma/biotech, med devices, digital health and data centers.
