Global law firm Baker McKenzie today announces the relocation of its Stockholm office to Mästerhuset, at Mäster Samuelsgatan 17 in the heart of the city’s central business district. The move is effective 17 March 2026.
Baker McKenzie’s relocation to Mästerhuset represents a long-term, strategic investment and builds on more than 35 years in the Swedish market. The new office brings together approximately 125 professionals across around 2,700 square meters in a workplace designed to support collaboration and evolving ways of delivering legal services.
“Our office is more than a place to work. It is a platform for collaboration, innovation and relationship-building both among our teams and with our clients and partners. When we invest in new premises, we do so to ensure they reflect our ambitions as a leading global law firm and provide the right conditions for our continued growth in Sweden and internationally,” said Costin Mihailescu, Managing Partner of Baker McKenzie in Sweden.
The new office has been designed to support cross-border and multidisciplinary ways of working, reflecting the close collaboration between the Firm’s Stockholm-based teams and colleagues and clients across Baker McKenzie’s international platform. The space combines functional workspaces with meeting spaces for our clients and events, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, flexibility and employee experience.
The new office’s central location within the city’s business district, together with the building’s high-quality office environment and service offering, are key to supporting clients and attracting talent in an increasingly competitive market.
“We see a growing need for an office that supports both focused work and spontaneous interaction, while also serving as a natural meeting place for clients and business partners,” added Costin Mihailescu. “Mästerhuset gives us the flexibility and quality required to meet these expectations.”
The new office was developed in close collaboration with Studio Stockholm, which led the architectural design and functional workplace concept. JLL acted as external project manager, supporting Baker McKenzie throughout the relocation process.
