Leading global law firm, Baker McKenzie, has advised longstanding client, Natura, on the sale of its Avon Russia business to Arnest Group.  The transaction has now completed following receipt of regulatory approvals, and represents the final milestone in Natura’s efforts to streamline its operations and refocus its strategy on its core beauty and personal care business in Latin America.

The Baker McKenzie team was led out of London by Corporate Partner David Scott, working closely with Senior Associate Matthew Bennett and Associate Meredith Hughes.  IP advice was provided by Senior Associate Ash von Schwan and Associate Lucy Robertson, while Sanctions advice came from Global Chair Sunny Mann and Partner Sven Bates.  Other Baker McKenzie lawyers and specialists provided additional support from various jurisdictions.

In Russia, Baker McKenzie partnered with leading local law firm, Melling, Voitishkin & Partners, with a team led by Managing Partner Sergei Voitishkin, alongside Corporate Partner Dmitry Marchan, Counsel Dmitry Yeremin and IP Partner Margarita Divina.

Over the past year, Baker McKenzie has also advised Natura on its sale of Avon International to Regent, and on its sale of Avon’s CARD business to Grupo PDC.
