Baker McKenzie has announced the addition of Per Chilstrom and Michael Pilo to the Firm’s Capital Markets Practice in New York. Both bring considerable experience in the technology, healthcare and life sciences, and finance sectors. Their arrival bolsters Baker McKenzie’s ability to counsel clients on complex capital markets transactions, public and private offerings, and public mergers and acquisitions.

With more than two decades of experience, Per has represented issuers and underwriters in US and cross-border debt and equity offerings, including IPOs, follow-on equity offerings and high-yield debt transactions. His work spans multiple sectors, with significant experience in healthcare and life sciences and technology, where he has guided companies through complex financing structures to support innovation and growth. Per also counsels public companies on corporate governance and compliance matters.

Michael specializes in a broad spectrum of corporate finance and capital markets transactions, providing counsel to issuers and investment banks on IPOs, high-yield bond issuances, private placements, and SPAC-related transactions. He possesses substantial experience in the healthcare and life sciences sectors, supporting companies in securing both public and private funding for research, development, and commercialization activities, as well as the technology and crypto sectors.
