We are partnering with AbbVie, a leading multinational biopharmaceutical corporation, and Trench Rossi Watanabe in Brazil through our strategic cooperation agreement, on an important mentoring initiative that aims to support the career development of young lawyers from underrepresented communities in Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, Europe and Latin America.

The opportunity

Through the AbbVie & Baker McKenzie Emerging Lawyers Mentoring Program, our combined team of legal mentors will support the personal development of the selected mentees with conversations on career progression, skills development, and the opportunity to learn more about private practice and in-house careers.

This year’s program will run from August to November 2026. The program consists of the following:

  • Three one-on-one mentoring discussions
  • One group mentoring circle
  • One Soft Skills group training webinar conducted by Baker McKenzie’s Leadership & Learning team
  • One Career Roundtable session to be hosted by AbbVie

Successful candidates are required to complete all training webinars and one-on-one/group discussions.

Please note that this is a Mentoring Program, not a job opportunity. CVs submitted in relation to this program will only be considered for the mentoring opportunity.
