Alaa Touil
Biography
Alaa Touil is a junior associate in the European Competition and Regulatory Affairs Practice Group in the Brussels office. He joined Baker McKenzie in 2023.
Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Alaa took part in internships in various structures. These experiences shaped his interest in competition law while he discovered the worlds of technology, energy and corporate law. In addition, Alaa was president of the European Law Students' Association (ELSA) from 2020-2021. Alaa also received a Certification in International Humanitarian Law from the Belgian Red Cross in 2021.
Practice Focus
Alaa mainly advises clients on EU competition law matters, ranging from distribution, abuse of dominance investigations, anti-competitive agreements and compliance issues.
His sector experience includes technology, healthcare, biochemicals, consumer goods and telecommunications.
