Biography

Paulina Timmer is an associate in Baker McKenzie’s New York office and a member of the North America Transactional Practice Group.

Practice Focus

Paulina advises clients on a wide range of transactional matters, including advising domestic and foreign clients in connection with project financing and the sale and acquisition of energy and other infrastructure projects. Her experience also includes general bank finance transactions (including syndicated loans and asset-based lending transactions), and advising clients in mergers and acquisitions, strategic corporate transactions, and real estate financing transactions.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advised the developers in the US Department of Energy’s USD 504.4 million loan commitment to develop the world's largest industrial green hydrogen facility.

  • Advised Brunswick Corporation on its acquisition of Navico, a global leader in marine electronics and sensors for USD 1.05 billion.

  • Advised Unilever on its acquisition of Paula's Choice, a leading digital-led skincare brand.

  • Advised Unilever on its acquisition of Onnit, a holistic wellness and lifestyle company.

  • Advised the lenders in negotiating and closing a USD 110 million loan to finance the development of a student housing project.

  • Advised a US-based developer in connection with the USD 630 million project financing of a portfolio of wind and solar projects across five states including California and Texas.

  • Represented a utilities company managing major US power plants in the USD 100 million refinancing of municipal bonds.

  • Advised the borrower in the USD 200 million financing of over 30 properties across the US.

  • Represented a utilities company managing major US power plants in the USD 185 million revolving credit facility.
