Biography
Alicja Szczesniak is a member of the Firm's Dispute Resolution team. She represents clients before state courts and in arbitration, assisting in all stages of the dispute resolution process, including in out-of-court proceedings, negotiations, proceedings to secure claims, case trial and executory proceedings.
Alicja holds a doctorate degree in arbitration and has written numerous articles on the topic, both in scientific and popular journals.
Practice Focus
Ms. Szczesniak represents clients in disputes concerning various commercial matters, including company law, trade contracts, tort and unfair competition. Moreover, she is vastly experienced in advising clients in construction projects, mainly in the energy and infrastructure sectors. She has been a leading counsel in numerous complex litigation matters. Among others, she has defended foreign companies doing business in Poland in cases for breach of fair competition rules, represented clients in construction disputes over key construction projects in the country and in a major class action against the state.

- Defended a property developer in litigation initiated by a bank for repayment of a bank guarantee.
