Biography
Haochen (Stephen) Sun is an associate in Baker McKenzie's Los Angeles office, as a member of the Firm's Global Transactional Practice Group and Global Funds Group.
Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Stephen worked at another international law firm for its funds formation practice group.
Practice Focus
Stephen focuses his practice on the formation and operation of private investment funds, advising sponsors across private equity, real estate, and venture capital industries on fund structuring, fundraising, and investor negotiations. His practice includes the formation of main funds, parallel and feeder vehicles, co-investment structures, and related regulatory and investor matters, and he regularly works with US and non-US sponsors on cross-border fundraises.
Stephen also advise sponsors on fund-level and portfolio-level credit facilities, including subscription credit facilities, NAV facilities, and other leverage arrangements.
