Meritxell Sanchez
Biography
Meritxell is a senior associate in the Tax Practice Group at Baker McKenzie Barcelona. In 2018, she completed a secondment at our Zurich office.
Meritxell frequently speaks at conferences and seminars on international tax planning, as well as at the Firm's seminars and webinars. She writes many articles and contributes thought leadership on various subjects, published both internally and externally (Private Wealth Newsletter and Aranzadi).
Practice Focus
Meritxell advises on tax planning and restructuring for Spanish and international companies. She participates regularly in cross-border operations and in mergers and acquisitions with local and international tax consequences, international tax planning, reorganizations and transactions involving international matters.
She also has extensive experience in the tax field of wealth management assisting clients in planning and protecting their futures. She has also implemented sophisticated structures in Spain for foreign investors offering attractive solutions for their investments and delivering tax efficient solutions for after-tax wealth preservation and performance.
Finally, she provides ongoing advice to clients involved in tax audits in Spain.
