
Victor Saint-Cast
Biography
Victor Saint-Cast is an associate in the EU Competition & Regulatory Affairs Practice group. He joined the team in Baker McKenzie's Brussels office in February 2022.
Before joining Baker McKenzie Victor was an associate in an independent law firm where he was advising businesses on their distribution network organization and litigation. He also worked at the European Commission’s Directorate General for competition and in the legal department of several leading retail companies.
Practice Focus
Victor advises clients on an array of competition law matters: antitrust compliance, vertical restrictions, cartel and abuse of dominance investigations, as well as EU and global merger control.
Victor's sector experience includes Digital, Industry, and Consumer Goods and Retail.
Representative Legal Matters
- Advising a large tech company on its compliance with the EU Digital Market Act, and in investigations and sector wide inquiries in various jurisdictions across the world (EU, UK, Japan, Korea, France).
- Advising a company active in the financial sector in an abuse of dominance preliminary investigation by the European Commission.
- Advising a number of large companies on distribution agreements, including on risks arising in respect of resale price maintenance, territorial restrictions and online sales.
- Lead associate in securing clearance of global transactions in various competition authorities globally (including the EU, US, UK, China, Brazil, etc), as well as Foreign Investment review.
- Advising various global companies in obtaining clearance of their transactions notifiable to the European Commission.
