Axel Rets
Biography
Axel Rets is a member of Baker McKenzie’s Private Equity Practice Group in Stockholm. He works with leading Nordic and European private equity firms and their portfolio companies as well as international corporates.
He joined Baker McKenzie in 2026. Prior to joining the Firm, Axel worked in various roles such as legal analyst at a legal research AI start up, intern at the Embassy of Sweden to the US in Washington D.C., and legal intern at a SaaS-company.
Practice Focus
Axel focuses his practice mainly on M&A and private equity, advising private equity firms and their portfolio companies, as well as international corporate clients on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, incentive programs and add-on acquisitions for platform investments.
