Biography

Emilie Malivert is an associate in the Energy & Infrastructure Practice Group in the Brussels office. She joined Baker McKenzie in 2025 after three years with another law firm. Prior to that, Emilie worked with an independent renewable energy producer in Paris, where she focused on European public affairs. She also has experience in the Environment and Agrochemicals field, focusing on European pesticides and biocides regulations.

Practice Focus

Emilie primarily advises on European and national regulations relating to renewable energy projects and low-carbon emission technologies, such as hydrogen and carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS).

She has experience in drafting and reviewing power purchase agreements (PPAs) and advising on low-carbon technologies, climate regulations, and decarbonization initiatives such as the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS), the European Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).

Recently, Emilie has been extensively engaged in providing legal counsel on the development of the green hydrogen market, drafting hydrogen sales and purchase agreements and advising on the latest European Hydrogen and Gas Package.

Her legal experience also encompasses detailed analyses of French energy law.
