Biography

Dzeneta Hrustic is an associate in Baker McKenzie's Geneva office and a member of the Transactions practice group. She advises Swiss and international clients on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, ESG matters and financial regulatory issues.

Dzeneta graduated from the Universities of Basel and Geneva in 2021 and was admitted to the Swiss bar in 2024. Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, she practiced at Swiss business law firms in Lausanne and Geneva and completed traineeships with the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland and the Permanent Mission of Switzerland to the United Nations in New York.

Practice Focus

Dzeneta advises Swiss and international clients on domestic and cross-border transactions, corporate reorganizations, corporate governance and general corporate law matters. She also advises companies on ESG-related and financial regulatory matters and works with clients across a broad range of industry sectors.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advised a global private banking group on its acquisition of a majority stake in a European regulated fintech bank, including transaction documentation and regulatory approval processes.
  • Advised a technology and data analytics company on its USD 42 million Series B financing, including the negotiation of investment and ancillary documentation.
  • Advised a European investment bank and brokerage firm on its proposed establishment in Switzerland, including licensing requirements, regulatory considerations and corporate structuring issues.
