Biography

Laura is a team director in the M&A Practice Group in Baker McKenzie's Barcelona office, which she joined in 2014. She has a degree in law and a degree in business administration from the University of Valencia, and a master's degree in international business law from ESADE.

Laura is also a professor of business law at ESADE Business School in Sant Cugat del Vallés.

From the beginning, we at Baker McKenzie have participated in different corporate social responsibility programs. The most recent, coinciding with our 25th anniversary in Barcelona, is the pro bono advice agreement with the Sant Joan de Déu Charitable Organization. Other outstanding projects are the agreement to create and advise the Liceu Barcelona Opera House US Foundation and regular contributions to the food bank.

Practice Focus

Laura focuses on advising Spanish and international companies, mainly in business acquisition and transfer processes (M&A) as well as corporate governance and reorganization projects. She has extensive experience in coordinating due diligence procedures, negotiations and preparing contracts required to close transactions efficiently. She also has experience in local and cross-border reorganizations and attending board meetings and shareholders' meetings. Laura worked in Baker McKenzie's London office as part of the Corporate Reorganizations Practice Group.

Laura has advised and advises clients from different sectors (construction, infrastructure, healthcare and pharmaceutical, education, video games, and retail, among others). She also has experience working for both private equity and industrial clients.
