Javier Esaín
Biography
Javier is Tax Team Leader at our Madrid office. Javier joined the Firm in 2015 and worked at our San Francisco and Palo Alto offices between 2019 and 2020.
Practice Focus
Javier is member of the Global Reorganization Practice Group. He regularly advises multinational companies on international tax matters, with a particular focus on international tax planning, permanent establishments, cross-border corporate reorganizations, M&A transactions and post-acquisition integration projects.
He also assists individuals on international tax matters, including foreign investments and international mobility.
He counsels clients from various industries, including Technology, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Energy & Infrastructure and Consumer Goods & Retail.
Representative Legal Matters
- Advised a variety of clients on the planning and restructuring of their global corporate structures, including post-acquisition integration projects.
- Assisted different groups on permanent establishment risk analysis, either in Spain and outside Spain.
- Helped different Spanish groups to navigate the complexities of their international business expansion and international corporate structures.
- Advised some of the world’s leading technology and software companies on the taxation of their digital businesses in Spain.
