Biography

Gustaf Erlandsson is a member of Baker McKenzie's Banking & Finance Practice Group in Stockholm. Gustaf's experience includes advising borrowers and lenders on a wide arrange of debt finance transactions, including domestic and cross-border leveraged finance transactions and distressed debt scenarios. Gustaf also has experience of advising on complex debt capital markets financings (including regulator and hybrid notes) and project and infrastructure financings.

Prior to joining the Firm in 2022, he worked at another major Nordic law firm.

In 2019 Gustaf was a secondee at the Swedish Export Corporation, working with a wide arrange of cross border debt financing transactions.

In 2023 and 2024 Gustaf worked in the banking team in the Firm's London office.

Practice Focus

Gustaf focuses his practice on a variety of debt financing transactions, including leveraged and investment grade lending, refinancings, and restructuring mandates, acting for both lenders and borrowers.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Acted for CR Group Nordic on the financing of CR Group’s acquisition of Fox-Crypto, a Dutch provider of cybersecurity solutions.
  • Acted for Keensight Capital in respect of the acquisition financing of SoftCo.
  • Acted for Nalka Invest on the financing of Nalka's acquisition of Norstat AS.
  • Acted for Husqvarna on a EUR 100 million financing from the Nordic Investment Bank.
  • Acted for Nordea in connection with issuance of new senior secured floating rate notes by iLOQ Oy, a portfolio company of Nordic Capital and the establishment of a super senior revolving credit facility.
  • Acted for Safe Life, a European and North American leader in AEDs and training, on its debt financing from Nordea.
  • Acted for FSN Capital VI on its financing of the acquisition of Ilionx group.
  • Acted for DNB and Nordea on the financing of an asset to be acquired by Arccus.
  • Acted for FSN Capital VI on its EUR 650 million TLB (with delay draw) facility for the acquisition of Optigroup, Hygos, BFG and TPC with Jefferies, JPM and Danske Bank as MLA's.
