Biography

Gustaf Erlandsson is a member of Baker McKenzie's Banking & Finance Practice in Stockholm. Gustaf's experience includes advising borrowers and lenders on a wide range of debt finance transactions, including domestic and cross-border leveraged finance transactions and distressed debt scenarios. Gustaf also has experience of advising on complex debt capital markets financings and project and infrastructure financings.

Prior to joining the Firm in 2022, he worked at another major Nordic law firm.

In 2019 Gustaf was a secondee at the Swedish Export Corporation, working with a wide arrange of cross border debt financing transactions.

In 2023 and 2024 Gustaf worked in the banking team in the Firm's London office.

Gustaf is noted by Legal 500 for his experience in leveraged finance and distressed debt transactions.

Gustaf focuses his practice on a variety of debt financing transactions, including leveraged and investment grade lending, refinancings, and restructuring mandates, acting for both lenders and borrowers.

    • the unitranche and super senior revolving credit facility for FSN's acquisition of Illionx 
    • the first lien and second lien financing for FSN's acquisition of OptiGroup 
  • Acting for Nalka Invest, a leading European institutional investor, on:
    • the financing of Nalka's acquisition of Norstat AS
    • the financing of Nalka's acquisition of airteam A/S
  • Acting for Keensight Capital in respect of the acquisition financing of SoftCo
  • Acting for Trill Impact and Nordomatic on the refinancing of Nordomatic and financing of Nordomatic's expansion into the US
  • Acting for CR Group Nordic on the financing of CR Group’s acquisition of Fox-Crypto, a Dutch provider of cybersecurity solutions 
  • Acting for Husqvarna on a EUR 100 million financing from the Nordic Investment Bank
  • Acting for Safe Life, a European and North American leader in AEDs and training, on its debt financing from Nordea and the Swedish Export Credit Corporation
  • Acting for Nordea in connection with issuance of senior secured floating rate notes by iLOQ Oy, a portfolio company of Nordic Capital and the establishment of a super senior revolving credit facility
  • Acting for DNB and Nordea on the financing of an asset to be acquired by Arcus Infrastructure Partners
  • Acting for Sparc Group in connection with its inaugural bond issuance and establishment of a super senior revolving credit facility
