Biography

Kirsten Dooley is a senior associate in the Firm's New York office. She is a skilled trial lawyer and advisor, experienced in international dispute resolution, complex commercial litigation, investigations and regulatory defense.

Kirsten initially joined Baker McKenzie in 2018 and also clerked for the Honorable Carlton W. Reeves of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. Prior to re-joining Baker McKenzie in 2024, she worked as a litigation associate at a trial boutique. She brings a wealth of experience in assisting clients with their most complex dispute matters.

Practice Focus

Kirsten is an experienced litigator and has represented individuals and corporations in federal and state courts throughout the United States in class actions, labor and employment, intellectual property, and business disputes.

She also has substantial experience in alternative dispute resolution, including domestic mediations and arbitrations, and international arbitration matters.

Kirsten also handles white collar defense matters, internal and government investigations, and has counseled and defended clients in proceedings brought by government agencies, including FINRA, the SEC, and the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).

Representative Legal Matters

  • Conducted an internal investigation on behalf of a Fortune 500 company arising from allegations of defective design and assessed liability exposure
  • Conducted securities investigations for a financial institution and developed remedial plans to resolve securities violations
  • Represented global oil and gas company in breach of contract dispute before the ICC International Court of Arbitration.
  • Secured summary judgment for an Ivy League University from employment discrimination claims in federal court.
  • Secured emergency relief on behalf of blockchain technology company against trademark infringer in federal court.*
  • Secured early dismissal of class action alleging unfair business practices and false advertising in federal court.*
