Biography

Katia Dehon is an associate in the EU Competition & Regulatory Affairs Practice Group of the Brussels office. She joined Baker McKenzie in 2022.

Practice Focus

Katia advises clients on all aspects of competition law, including merger control, abuse of dominance, cartels and antitrust compliance issues. She has experience across a wide range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, media and telecommunications, and industrials.

Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Katia completed a traineeship at the European Commission's Directorate General for Competition, where she focused on key EU antitrust policy initiatives.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Assisting a major bioscience company in a complex transaction requiring EU and international merger control approvals.

  • Advised the Brands for Europe coalition of global brand owners in connection with the European Commission's and UK Competition and Markets Authority's review of the Vertical Restraints Block Exemption & Guidelines, and the review of the EU Guidelines on horizontal cooperation agreements.

  • Assisted a client as a key third party in the European Commission's and UK Competition and Markets Authority's review of a high-profile transaction.

  • Delivered competition law compliance training to several consumer goods manufacturers.
