Biography
Laura Declercq is a senior associate in the Employment Practice Group of the Brussels office. She joined Baker McKenzie in 2025 and has more than seven years’ experience in advising companies on employment law and social security law.
Practice Focus
Laura advises local and international companies on all aspects of individual and collective employment law, with a particular interest in (collective) dismissals, restructurings, social dialogue, compensation and benefits, working time, health and safety, investigations and harassment and discrimination.
Laura also represents clients with complex litigation matters concerning employment law issues before the Belgian Employment Courts and Employment Appeal Courts.

- Assisted a financial services firm in conducting a highly-sensitive investigation concerning employee misconduct and discriminatory treatment in the workplace.
- Assisted a multinational media company in takeover of the production, including the employees and allocated staff.
- Assisted a financial services firm in the closure of a Belgian plant.
- Assisted an international chemical and logistics company in a harmonisation exercise, including a flexible working time regime.
- Represented numerous clients in a variety of dismissal related legal proceedings.
