Biography

Robert (Rob) Clary is a tax partner in the Chicago office.

Rob focuses his practice on international tax, corporate reorganizations, post-acquisition integration and cross-border acquisitions. He advises clients in a variety of industries, including retail, technology, consumer health, industrial manufacturing, automotive, consumer products, pharmaceuticals, medical technology, and financial information.

Practice Focus

Rob advises multinational enterprises with respect to their global tax positions, including tax aspects of cross-border acquisitions, financing transactions, corporate restructurings, joint ventures, and other corporate activities. His practice also includes advising clients in international transfer pricing and controversy matters relating to global operations, investments, and transactions.

Rob has been a frequent speaker at various professional organizations including Bloomberg, International Fiscal Association, Chicago Tax Club, Tax Executive Institute, and the Practicing Law Institute. He has also taught Taxation of International Transactions at the Chicago-Kent School Law.

Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Rob was a market leader at a big four accounting firm for their International Tax practice.
