Biography

Stephanie Centorame is a senior associate in the Energy, Resources, Infrastructure & Corporate Practice Group, in Baker McKenzie’s Sydney office.

Stephanie has been working with Baker McKenzie since 2025.

Practice Focus

Stephanie advises clients on a broad range of renewables, oil and gas and LNG transactions. As part of her practice, Stephanie focuses on mergers and acquisitions, joint development agreements, connection arrangements, power purchase agreements, and offtake and virtual tolling arrangements for energy projects across all stages of their life cycle.

Stephanie has extensive experience acting for high-profile Australian and international clients on domestic and cross-border transactions.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advised Akaysha Energy and BlackRock’s Climate Infrastructure franchise on the development, construction, commissioning and project financing of the 155 MW / 298 MWh Ulinda Park BESS located in Queensland.*
  • Advised lenders on the proposed financing of a BESS project being developed in Victoria.*
  • Drafted template PPA buy-back agreements for a large energy retailer’s portfolio of solar and hybrid BESS assets.*
  • Advised an electricity retailer on the acquisition of 100% of shares in an Australian developer operating a BESS and solar farm asset.*
  • Assisted joint venture parties with reaching equity close in relation to a Stage 1 wind farm project located in Queensland.*
  • Advised a government agency on its retail electricity procurement arrangements, including negotiating renewable energy supply agreements with preferred tenderers.*
  • Negotiated a Japanese virtual power purchase agreement for a data centre operator.*
  • Advised a significant gas producer on marketing, lifting and balancing arrangements for its LNG projects.*
