Biography

Amar Budarapu currently serves as chairman of the Firm’s North America Corporate & Securities - Strategy. Amar is also a current member of the Firm’s Global M&A Steering Committee and the Firm’s Global Capital Markets Steering Committee. He recently served as chairman of the Firm's Capital Markets Group and as the managing partner of the Firm’s Dallas office. Amar mainly practices in the areas of public and private securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance.

Practice Focus

Amar routinely advises public companies and underwriters in M&A and capital markets transactions. He has broad experience in domestic and cross-border M&A transactions particularly in the coordination of complex multijurisdictional transactions. He has also represented issuers and underwriters in connection with registered and private equity and debt offerings, including initial public offerings. Additionally, Amar represents clients in public and private M&A transactions.
