
Addison Braendel
Biography
Addison (Addie) Braendel leads the North America Investment Funds practice, specializing in private equity fund formation, with an emphasis on real estate. Fund formations include open-end and closed-end funds, funds of funds, DSTs and infrastructure, hedge, energy, debt and QOZ funds. Regulatory experience includes '40 Act, ERISA, Advisers Act, UBTI, REIT and related tax counsel and advice.
He also advises clients on fund reviews and secondary purchases, as well as providing counsel for complex joint ventures, roll-ups, and in challenging circumstances including removal of general partners, sponsor insolvency, limited partner defaults and early termination events.
