Biography

Aseel is a junior associate who joined the Firm in 2023 and advises clients across a broad spectrum of commercial, civil, labor, bankruptcy and enforcement matters.

Practice Focus

She works with both Saudi and international clients, supporting them in complex litigation and arbitration cases. She also has exposure to construction and real estate related matters. Aseel is involved in all stages of dispute resolution from early case assessment and strategy development to formal proceedings and enforcement. Aseel continuously assists on IPO and M&A litigation legal due diligence projects where she contributes to risk assessment, document review and the preparation of comprehensive reports to support transactional decision-making.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Representing a major Saudi contracting company in a high-profile dispute with the owner. Aseel has been involved from the outset of the matter, participating in negotiations, providing legal advisory, initiating mediation and currently representing the contractor in the ongoing arbitration proceedings.
  • Assisted a client in enforcing a USD 1 million arbitration award before the Saudi Enforcement Court. Successfully traced the adverse party’s assets and negotiated a favorable settlement ensuring full payment.
  • Provided long-term advisory and representation to an international oil and gas company in a joint venture dispute with its local partner. Managed litigation before the Commercial Courts against the JV and its directors, while delivering ongoing strategic legal advice to protect the client’s position.
  • Participated in the document collection, review, and discovery phase of high-value proceedings before the Cayman Islands courts. Coordinated with external counsel to ensure compliance with procedural requirements in a complex cross-border matter.
  • Assisted a major multinational company in submitting application as creditor in Saudi insolvency proceeding, reviewed all underlying documentation, coordinated with the bankruptcy trustee, and represented client in the proceedings before Saudi court.
  • Advising a multinational consulting company in connection with the review of internal policies and procedures for the development of mega projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including conducting interviews with senior employees and providing risk assessment advice.
