Global law firm Baker McKenzie is pleased to announce the arrival of Dr. Christoph Schimmer, MSc (WU), who joins the Firm as Head of Tax for Austria. Christoph’s addition strategically expands the Firm’s tax and transactional capabilities.

Christoph is admitted in Austria both as an attorney-at-law and certified tax advisor. He brings extensive experience advising national and international clients on tax matters. His practice focuses on corporate and international tax law, the structuring of M&A transactions, as well as complex restructurings and group reorganizations. Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Christoph worked at several leading law firms specializing in tax advisory and supported clients in sophisticated, cross-border transactions.

With Christoph’s arrival, Baker McKenzie not only expands its global Tax advisory practice but also strategically strengthens its Transactional capabilities. Through his dual qualification as an attorney-at-law and tax advisor, Christoph will bring integrated advice to our clients, particularly in relation to structured M&A, private equity transactions, and strategic reorganizations.
