Baker McKenzie has been voted “Syndicated Corporate Loan Law Firm of the Year” for the second consecutive year by members of the Asia Pacific Loan Market Association (APLMA) at the Asia Pacific Syndicated Loan Market Awards held in Hong Kong.

In addition, the HKD 13 billion five-year syndicated facility for the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) received the “Syndicated Corporate Deal of the Year” award. The Baker McKenzie team, led by Partner Simon Leung in Hong Kong, advised the lenders on the transaction. The facility provides the URA with enhanced financial flexibility to execute its urban renewal projects and capital improvement plans efficiently, supporting its long-term development objectives in Hong Kong.

The Asia Pacific Syndicated Loan Market Awards recognize outstanding achievements across 32 categories and are voted on by members of the APLMA, with no marketing submissions or pitching involved. Debtwire served as the data provider for this year’s awards.

The recognition further underscores the strength of Baker McKenzie’s Banking & Finance Practice. The Firm’s banking and finance lawyers are ranked in more jurisdictions than any other firm by Chambers, reflecting its depth of expertise and global reach.
