Overview
Our lawyers advise clients on some of the most significant transactions in our market. This includes Iberdrola Mexico’s sale to Mexico Infrastructure Partners, an entity engaged in investing in infrastructure and energy projects, of its 8.5 GW of combined cycle gas plants from Iberdrola México, a subsidiary of Iberdrola for USD 6.2 billion, this deal won the best transaction deal award of the year at the IX Premios Expansión Jurídico in 2024. Our team advised EW Group on the acquisition of Planasa, global leader in the agri-tech sector. Recently, our team also advised Iberdrola Group and Norges Bank, a Norway-based bank, on their co-investment agreement for the joint development of a portfolio of renewable assets in the Iberian Peninsula, structured through an M&A transaction valued at approximately EUR 307 million.
Another significant transaction was advising Miura Partners on the launch of the EUR 200 million Dent&Co fund to support the growth of Proclinic Group, a European leader in dental distribution.
Additionally, we assisted Gruppo Statuto in the acquisition of the luxury resort Six Senses Ibiza, a landmark transaction in the Spanish hospitality sector.

We join several Pro Bono activities with other shareholders and entities throughout the year. We are fully committed to fight ageism, and thus we joined the Global Initiative on Ageing (GIA), an agreement by which the Initiative will develop a global legal observatory on the regulation of employment and social security linked to the elderly, also collaborating in the drafting of the future Convention under the UN. Our Firm is also a signatory of the UN Global Compact, pledging to support 10 universally accepted human rights, labor, anti-corruption, environment and sustainability principles. Moreover, Baker McKenzie is currently the law firm with the highest percentage of female partners amongst the law firms in Spain (44%).
Every year, we join an educational program of the Community of Madrid aimed at students in the 4th year of Secondary Education. This program is carried out on a Pro Bono basis, with the aim of bringing the education system and businesses closer together. We join the “Street Law” initiative, in collaboration with prestigious Universities such as ICADE and IE, that brings the law to the most disadvantaged. As part of our CSR program and in line with our commitment to social justice, we collaborate with university legal clinics to help train the next generation of lawyers and to promote Pro Bono work. We sponsor scholarships through the "Becas Alumni UC3M" program offered by Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, and we also participate in various corporate volunteering programs to coach and mentor disadvantaged children and students. Throughout 2025, we have carried out several charitable initiatives, including the distribution of charity roses among employees at the Barcelona office on Sant Jordi's Day, in collaboration with the IRES Foundation. We also organized various activities as part of our Christmas Campaign, such as a charity raffle for Christmas hampers (containing products prepared by organisations that support people at risk of exclusion) with the aim of raising funds for a good cause, and a Christmas Jumper Day with breakfast prepared in collaboration with the social economy company Cuina Justa. This year in Madrid, our Family Day was organized in collaboration with the A LA PAR Foundation, and as every year, the Prodis Foundation took part in our Christmas Market. Over 60% of employees joined the last edition of the Christmas season “Reyes Magos de Verdad” and "Apadrina una Carta” offering presents for children in need and elder people living in retirement homes.
In our Barcelona and Madrid offices, we partnered with the Fundació BarcelonActua and we contribute every year to the "Operation Kilo" campaign, in collaboration with the Food Bank.
