Rodrigo Ogea renews his position as co-managing partner of Baker McKenzie in Spain for a period of three years.

Ogea has served as co-managing partner of the firm in Spain since 2017.

Leading global law firm Baker McKenzie has re-elected Rodrigo Ogea as co-managing partner of Baker McKenzie in Spain from 1 October 2023, a position he has held since 2017. Rodrigo will continue to work alongside Bruno Domínguez, co-managing partner of the firm.

For Rodrigo, "it is a great satisfaction to have the confidence of the Firm once again, which with this decision validates the strategy developed the last years in the Spanish market, which has allowed us to deepen our leadership position among international law firms operating in Spain".

The election process involved both the partners and the heads of the various internal professional services areas, as well as members of the global Executive Committee.

Rodrigo specializes in providing tax advice to funds, family groups and large companies on mergers and acquisitions, international restructurings, fund structuring (private equity, real estate, infrastructure, renewable energy) and structured finance transactions (project finance, asset finance and securitization). He is recognized by leading legal directories as one of the most prestigious tax lawyers.

Trustee of the 'Taxation and Competitiveness Foundation' (Fundación Impuestos y Competitividad), member of the CEOE's tax committees, the International Chamber of Commerce, the US Chamber of Commerce in Spain and the American Business Council. He has also been the Spanish representative on the European Union's expert group for the elimination of tax obstacles to cross-border private equity investments.

Since 2020, he is one of the four elected members of Baker McKenzie's EMEA Management Committee.
